It is my pleasure and privilege to prepare the text of the web-site for the judicial district, Akola. This is the first web-site, to be connected to the internet at district level in the State of Maharashtra. I had a long standing desire and wish, that at the district place where I am posted, District shall have its own wet-site. Now that dream had come true. This web-site for the judicial district, Akola shall have its own unique features. Now this web-site for the judicial district, Akola consists of the history of the formation of the judicial district, Akola : Photographs of District and Sessions Court building Akola and the photographs of Civil and Criminal Court buildings of various talukas. This web-site also gives us the date of the formation, of the various Courts in the District. It will not be out of place to mention that this web-site gives the details of the work done by the District Legal Services Authority. Akola and information regarding the giving legal assistance to the needy persons. One of the feature of this web-site is the brief information of alternative district resolution (A.D.R.) and Section 89 of the Code of Civil Procedure, which deals with settlement of disputes outside the Court, which consists of (a) arbitration, (b) conciliation, (c) judicial settlement including settlement through Lok Adalat ; or (d) mediation. The web-site also includes the map of the judicial district, Akola and with regard to the history and the present members of the District Bar Association, Akola. I personnaly do not know whether I was able to achieve success in preparing this web-site. I
